I did!
Vancey Pants gave me the rest of my Mother's Day gift yesterday afternoon. Three pairs of earrings that he picked out all by himself, with his Dad.
Check out the pair that I wore in the car this morning, and into Tim Horton's for coffee?
Don't be jealous.
I left them on the dash in my car, so that I can put them back on before I pick him up this afternoon.
They made me think about all the ugly shit I bought my Mom over the years. I remember this sweater that I bought her for Christmas with my own money, it was a big woolly knit thing with a giant flower on the front. I thought it was the shit. Just like Vance thinks the shiny
Father's Day is coming soon. Any ideas for us? I need to let Vance loose in a great store so that he can pick his Dad's gift as well. All by himself. Maybe we'll just go back to the earring store. I bet an ear cuff would look really good!

That is hilarious!! I gave my mom the same guitar pick I got out of a gumball machine for every holiday for two years in a row. She plays the piano.
Gem! She's truly outrageous!
I bought my mom a DQ ice cream cake after watching one of their kitschy commercials. And then she made fun of a KFC commercial and I realized the error of my ways. Live and learn. (My kids are totally allowed to buy me a DQ ice cream cake, however.)
The earrings are fantastic. My son once took an old shoebox and glued silk flowers all over the inside and gave it to me for Mother's Day. I have no idea what it was supposed to be, but I still have it.
If Dad had given me an ice cream cake from DQ I would have clocked him. You gave it to me so I thought it was so cute it squeezed my heart.

How funny! I think those earings are priceless. I remember that I gave my Mom a purple jeweled gawdy ring...I thought it was beautiful. I am sure she thought is was equal parts hideous and lovely. How about taking Vance to a thrift store and let him pick out a snazzy pinky ring with a faux jewel.
LOL but I'm sure he's thrilled you are wearing them!
